Who this notice covers

This notice applies to thesabbaticalclub.com, its email signup forms, and messages sent to the contact address below. It does not apply to websites or services operated by other organizations.

Information we receive

• Information you submit. When you join the email list or ask to hear about a release, we receive your email address. If you answer the optional question after signup, we may also receive the sabbatical stage you select. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message.
• Signup context. Our forms may record which part of the site led to a signup, the referring page, and campaign parameters included in the page URL.
• Website and technical data. Our hosting provider processes ordinary request information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser or device information, requested page, time, and referrer. We receive site-usage analytics such as page views, visitor counts, and referral information.

How we use information

We use this information to send the emails you requested; manage signup, unsubscribe, and audience preferences; understand which pages and topics are useful; respond to messages; operate, troubleshoot, and protect the site; and maintain records reasonably needed for the business and applicable legal obligations.

Service providers and other disclosures

The site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify processes website requests, form submissions, and site analytics on our behalf. If we use an email-delivery provider, that provider will process subscriber information to send and manage the emails you requested. These providers handle information under their own service terms and privacy practices.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the site or its users, investigate misuse, or complete a business reorganization or transfer. We do not disclose subscriber information to advertisers for their independent direct marketing.

Retention and security

We keep subscriber information while a subscription is active and afterward for as long as reasonably needed to honor unsubscribe requests, maintain appropriate business records, resolve issues, and meet legal obligations. Hosting and email providers may retain technical logs and backups according to their own retention schedules.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to this early-stage website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link provided in an email or by writing to us. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with your email address. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to keep limited information to honor an unsubscribe request or meet a legal obligation.

Your browser may offer controls for cookies and similar storage used by websites. This site’s providers may also use technical mechanisms needed for security and service operation.

Children

This site and its email list are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the site and its services change. The effective date at the top will show when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable way.
